Hotel Owners Fined for Refusal of Gay Couple Sharing a Double Room

GAY COUPLEA 25 years family run Bed & Breakfast guesthouse owners were fined £3,600 this week for their refusal to allow a gay couple Martyn Hall and Steven Preddy to share a double room at their B&B in a popular holiday resort in Cornwall, southern England, under the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007, in spite of on their website clearly stated that’ We have few rules but please note that out of a deep regard for ­marriage we prefer to let double accommodation to heterosexual ­married couples only.’
